Why network recruiting is harder than it sounds
“One talent pool for everyone” is quickly said. Four points decide whether it works.
The partners are competitors
Two consultancies in the same network bid for the same contract with the same client, and are meant to share a talent pool. That only works if it is technically guaranteed that neither sees the other’s activity. The pool is shared; what happens inside it is not.
Legally separate companies, one system
Every partner is its own controller under the GDPR, with its own data processing agreement and its own deletion periods. A shared platform must not blur that: separate tenants are not a convenience here but the precondition for the model being permissible at all.
Somebody has to make the rules
Who may add candidates to the pool? How long does an approach belong to one partner before another may follow up? What happens when two offers go to the same person? Rules like that are a matter of governance rather than software, but the software has to be able to enforce them, otherwise they do not apply.
And somebody has to pay
A network carries costs together, but the benefit falls unevenly: the partner with the greatest hiring need draws most from the pool. Without transparent cost allocation that becomes, in the second year, a discussion that occupies the network instead of the recruiting.
One talent pool, many companies
Every partner draws on one shared, pre-qualified talent pool, with automated matching instead of recruiting against each other in parallel.
Multi-tenant as standard
Legally separate companies work in the same system in parallel, with clean data separation, their own access and their own view.
Decisions that hold
Scientifically grounded procedures instead of gut feeling: candidates go through structured assessments before partners decide.
Shared reach
Joint campaigns, exclusive job boards and events: the network reaches talent a single company would never reach.

Do you run a network, an association or a franchise system?
Then you know the problem: every member recruits alone and they all compete for the same talent. flynne turns individual efforts into an ecosystem.
Book a callWho sees what
The most common question in a first conversation with a network, and the one on which trust is built or lost.
What everyone sees
The pool: which profiles exist, with qualification, level of experience and region. That is the purpose of the network and the reason candidates take part: visibility with many employers from one application.
What only your own tenant sees
Your own activity: who you approached, who is in a procedure, how it ended, what notes were made. For the other partners none of it exists: not as an entry, not as a hint, not as a statistic.
What the candidate sees
Their own status, through a access link without an account or password. They know which company approached them and where they stand in the procedure. What they do not see are internal judgements; those belong to the company that made them.
What the network operator sees
Figures about the whole: pool size, growth, usage per partner, throughput times. But no judgements and no candidate files from individual partners’ procedures: the operator steers the network, it does not read along.
Questions from network operators
Can a partner see which candidates we approach?
No. The tenants are logically separated: the pool is shared, and every activity within it belongs solely to the partner who started it. Another partner cannot see that you approached somebody, at which stage the procedure is or how it ended. That is the condition under which competitors can work in one system at all.
Who owns the talent pool?
That is a contractual question rather than a technical one, and it should be settled before the start. As a rule the pool sits with the network operator, the candidates gave their consent to that operator, and the partners receive access under the rules of the network. That is how Join the #SAPFamily solves it. Other arrangements are possible, but they have to be agreed in advance and reflected in the consents.
What happens when a partner leaves the network?
Its tenant is closed and its own procedure data is returned or deleted according to the agreed periods. The pool stays with the network, because the consents belong there. That too belongs in the network rules before the first partner joins, not when the first one wants to leave.
How are the costs shared between the partners?
flynne bills usage per tenant: participations, procedures, deployments. What is made of that, a flat fee per member, usage-based or a mixture, is for the network to decide. The platform supplies the figures transparently; internal allocation to several cost centres is built in anyway.
Does it work without joint campaigns?
Technically, yes. In practice the shared reach is the reason candidates join a network pool at all: one application, many possible employers. Without that promise the pool does not fill, and then the partners share an empty pool.
