Effort calculator

What does the scheduling chaos cost you?

Five figures, a conservative estimate, right here: no contact form in front of it and we never see your numbers. Your browser does all the arithmetic.

Your numbers

Enter your own numbers. The result appears as soon as you type.

All participants across every type of procedure

minutes

Inviting, reminding, updating the status. The rework after no-shows counts below, not here.

€

Full cost including overheads

%

The share of participants who do not turn up

€

A share of the examiner day rate, the room and the rework after the absence

The result updates as you type. It never leaves your browser; we store and transmit nothing you enter.

How it is calculated

  • Coordination time = participations × minutes ÷ 60
  • Staff costs = coordination time × hourly rate
  • No-shows = participations × rate
  • Idle costs = no-shows × cost per no-show
  • Total = staff costs + idle costs

No hidden factors and no assumption about savings through flynne: the number describes what it costs you today. How much of it falls away depends on your operation, and that is what we discuss in a conversation. In our experience the coordination effort drops considerably, and no-shows decrease but do not disappear.

What is not counted here

Deliberately left out, because it can hardly be quantified honestly, even though in practice it often costs more than both items above:

  • Candidates who accept elsewhere during long waiting times
  • Procedures with unequal conditions, because appointments were moved
  • Rework after disruptions: finding a stand-in, checking deadlines, keeping the department waiting
  • Reputation with candidates and inside your own organisation
