The IT skills shortage and artificial intelligence
How AI can help to fill open IT positions, and where its use runs into limits.
News & press
We talk about aptitude diagnostics, running selection procedures and the limits of AI in personnel selection. With numbers from practice rather than market forecasts.

Both versions are released for verbatim use.
Short profile
flynne is the assessment centre software of Brandmonks GmbH: software that plans, runs and documents assessment days, bringing appointments, examiners, rooms, exercises, documents and people into one system. It is operated exclusively in the EU, and the suitability decision is always made by a person, never by AI.
Long version
flynne is the assessment centre software of Brandmonks GmbH, an HR tech company based in Mainz, Germany (founded in 2019, certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001). The software organises assessment days from planning through to documentation: appointments, examiners, rooms, exercises and documents come together in one system, and candidates book their own slots without an account, by access link. The platform grew out of two decades of running selection procedures in a large corporate group: thousands of assessment days, tens of thousands of candidates. Its principle: AI plans, warns and drafts, and people do the judging. flynne runs in Germany, and the data stays in the EU.
House style
On AI in personnel selection, the EU AI Act in the employment context or aptitude diagnostics under DIN 33430, we supply background and counter-positions, including where that is uncomfortable for the industry.
No recycled market research: throughput times, no-show rates and effort figures from two decades of assessment operations, anonymised and with context.
Quotes come from people who decide, with their name and function. Press enquiries are answered within one working day, and faster when you are on deadline.
