Control rooms, grid operations, security services: flynne brings structure and evidence to the selection of the people who have to be relied on.

Regulatory obligations, reliability requirements and a shortage of skilled people meet here. flynne standardises your aptitude assessment procedures and makes them demonstrable to auditors and authorities at any time.
Who was selected with what qualification, reportable site by site.
Status and expiry date sit on the procedure, with a warning before they lapse.
Availability recorded as shift patterns, with rest periods taken into account.
Each company sees only its own procedures; shared templates stay possible.

BSIG § 30, § 31 and § 39: proof every three years
Since the German NIS2 implementation act the duties sit in § 30 (risk management) and § 31 (critical installations); proof to the federal office for information security is governed by § 39 and due every three years. Qualified personnel is part of the state of the art. flynne documents who was selected with which qualification, ready for inspection and without searching through files.
NIS 2
The European directive widens the circle of obliged operators considerably and places responsibility with the management. Personnel capacity in information security is part of the duty, and so is filling and evidencing those roles.
EnWG and the IT security catalogue
Grid operators have to ensure appropriate protection against threats, audited against the catalogue of the German federal network agency. Personnel and qualification are part of that audit. flynne supplies the evidence per role and site.
Reliability checks
In security-sensitive areas official checks are prescribed, with their own deadlines and repeat cycles. flynne does not carry them out, but it holds status, expiry date and the link to the procedure together and warns before they lapse.
DIN 33430
Occupational aptitude assessment with documented procedures and qualified participants. flynne stores the requirements per type of procedure and only allows staffing that meets them.
EU AI Act
Systems that take part in hiring decisions count as high risk. flynne judges nobody; the aptitude decision is always made by a qualified person and the AI works purely on the organisation.
Every role brings its own rules, its own participants and a bottleneck of its own.
Control room and switching centre
Permanent shift work around the clock, so selection focuses on resilience, sustained attention and behaviour during a disruption. The procedures have to fit the live shift plan: applicants and assessors are rarely free at the same time.
Qualified electricians with switching authority
Professional qualification and personal reliability both have to be evidenced before anyone is granted switching authority. Recurring assessments come on top. Selection and re-examination run permanently alongside operations.
Security-sensitive areas
Where reliability checks are prescribed, the start date depends on the authority rather than on the company. The selection procedure has to be finished and documented beforehand, and has to bridge the waiting time without losing the applicant.
IT security and control room IT
Since NIS 2, capacity in information security is a duty rather than a nice-to-have. The market is empty, so the procedures have to be fast: anyone waiting two weeks for a date is already with a competitor. At the same time the highest reliability requirements apply here.
Standby and fault clearance
On-call duty needs people who can make sound decisions at night as well. Selection at volume, spread over many grid regions, often with short travel distances as a hiring criterion.
Yes, as a stage of their own with a status and an expiry date. flynne does not carry out the check, that is for the responsible authorities, but it records where it stands, when it lapses and which steps depend on it. You are warned before it expires.
Yes. Availability can be recorded as shift patterns rather than as individual dates. Scheduling only suggests staffing that fits the shift plan, and it observes rest periods.
Evidence of which role was filled with which qualification, who took part and when it was checked, reportable per site. Plus the documents on our own operations: security certificates, technical and organisational measures, deletion concept.
Yes. flynne is multi-tenant: each company sees only its own procedures and applicants. Shared templates and a shared pool of assessors are possible if you want them.
flynne checks every possible replacement against qualification, reliability status, shift plan and deadlines and suggests the permissible ones. A person decides, and both are documented.
